DESCRIPTION:East Devon Choral Society (E.D.C.S.)\n\n 6:45 pm – 9:00 pm\n\nRecurring Event (See all)\n\n\n\n\nEast Devon Choral Society (E.D.C.S.) \nEast Devon Choral Society (EDCS)  sings a broad repertoire\, covering many of the major choral works\, as well as exploring other musical influences\, such as gospel\, opera and songs from the shows.  We meet weekly in Tiverton and work under the baton of our talented\, enthusiastic conductor Andrew Daldorph. We also get together for a Saturday workshop once every term. EDCS was established in 1973. \nIn 2009 East Devon Choral Society\, together with Exeter Chamber Choir\, was awarded the prestigious title of   PRS for Music’s “Unforgettable Choir” for its performance of Andrew Daldorph’s “Songs of Hope and Creation” in Exeter Cathedral. The inaugural nationwide competition\, organised by PRS for Music\, set out to discover the country’s best amateur choir live performance\, newly recorded onto CD or DVD.
